Matcha Latte

If you are looking to switch up your daily coffee habit, or just want a new healthy beverage to give your mornings that extra boost, give matcha a shot!

Matcha is a type of green tea stemming from traditional practices in China and Japan. This tea has a robust, and earthy umami flavor, and is packed with antioxidants.
Many of the beneficial components of matcha have even been researched for their anti-cancer properties! There are extensive cohort studies which examine the consumption of green tea and inverse effects of gastric cancers.

Here is a full list of the ingredients needed to make a delicious Matcha Latte, feel free to substitute milk for your favorite alternative!

1 tablespoon of hot water
1 teaspoon of honey
¾ cup of hot milk
Optional: ¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon

Dump the matcha powder into a mug. Add the hot water and whisk until no lumps remain. Next, stir in the honey or maple syrup. Lastly, add the milk and whisk or use a milk frother to combine. Serve Immediately and enjoy!
